Boker's reissue of the Applegate-Fairbairn fighting knife uses fiberglass-reinforced Delrin handle, thickened in the center for a grip. A lanyard hole adds convenience. The handle meets a short, foward-bending cross-guard that protects the fingers. Boker achieved the knife's preferred rearward balance by inserting steel weights into the handle a beautiful ergonomic design. The 6" blade on this 10 3/4" knife has effective reach, with a 1" wide blade that's beefy all the way to the tip. Struck of Solingen 440C stainless steel hardened to a rockwell of 58. This version is all black with a black-coated blade and handle.
